WARP ZONE

Pokémon Shuffle, Genius Sonority & Nintendo

THE GOOD: Fun Candy Crush-like game, with an interesting dynamic in swapping out puzzle pieces, utilizing Pokemon and their unique powers. Type advantages are still in effect! The game is also poised to be heavily supported with Pokémon of the Day events, as well as rare Event Pokémon, just like in the original games.

THE BAD: The timers, even for a F2P, are horrendous. 30 minutes per heart, and you can only stack five. Most other F2Ps start at 10, with a leveling system replenishing depleted consumables. The catch rate is all dependant on RNG, making failed catches above 70% immensely infuriating.

FINAL RATING: 3 out of 5 Pews

KEEPIN' IT REEL

McFarland, USA, Walt Disney Pictures

A cross country coach in a small California town transforms a team of athletes into championship contenders.

THE GOOD: The young actors did a great job. The writing was very good at presenting the struggle of Mexican immigrants. Teaches the audience about the family values of the hispanic community. Overall a good feel movie.

THE BAD: Some elements of the plot weren't introduced very well. Too afraid to push the reality of racism during the time. Times of tension were poorly executed.

FINAL RATING: 4 out of 5 Pews

The Duff, Lionsgate & CBS Films

A high school senior instigates a social pecking order revolution after finding out that she has been labeled the DUFF (Designated Ugly Fat Friend) to her prettier more popular friends.

THE GOOD: Takes a lot of risks for a teen movie. Motion graphics were cool. Good soundtrack.

THE BAD: Best friends did not feel believable. Jokes dragged on for too long. Not enough conflict between the popular girl.

FINAL RATING: 3 out of 5 Pews
