FINAL RATING: 5/5 PEWS

New Suicide Squad #2, DC Comics

Trapped inside Russia with no hope of rescue, the Squad does what they do best: go out with a bang!

The Good: Art style and pacing is nice. The team dynamic is also really entertaining.

The Bad: The Russian plot is sorta cliche. The cliffhanger leaves much to be desired.

FINAL RATING: 4/5 PEWS

OMGTV

Black Jesus S01E02, Adult Swim

Vic vows to remove Jesus from the neighborhood, and hires Lloyd to be his “eyes and ears in the streets” and keep tabs on him. Meanwhile Jesus and the gang find the perfect lot for the garden, only to face instant extortion from local Mexican gangsters.

THE GOOD: Still funny, clever writing and great chemistry between the actors. The concept is still fresh as well.

THE BAD: This was more of a "set-up" episode for three, it seems. So it's not a solid episode to start watching the series from.

FINAL RATING: 4/5 PEWS

Rick and Morty Season 1, Adult Swim

Rick and Morty have a real straightforward and fun adventure. Mr. Meeseeks has an existential crisis.

THE GOOD: Dan Harmon helped create this. While that should be enough, Rick and Morty is good random humor that other shows like Tim and Eric push a bit too far and Adventure Time has, but also requires you keep up with the show. These episode are really easy to jump into and enjoy. Lots of great pop culture references as expected from Harmon.

THE BAD: The humor can, at times, be a bit crude for some tastes. It is Adult Swim, after all!

FINAL RATING: 5/5 PEWS

KEEPIN' IT REEL

Let's Be Cops, 20th Century Fox

Two struggling pals dress as police officers for a costume party and become neighborhood sensations. But when these newly-minted "heroes" get tangled in a real life web of mobsters and dirty detectives, they must put their fake badges on the line.

THE GOOD: Incredible chemistry between Wayans Jr and Johnson. Was great to see Riggle flex his acting muscles as well. Natural dialogue was refreshing and the trailer only showed the first fifteen minutes of the movie.

THE BAD: The "friendship fallout" was much too short, due to the fast pacing of the movie. Many missed opportunities for growth. Video game company portion of the movie was unbearably unbelievable.

FINAL RATING: 4/5 PEWS

Editor's Note: Soldat Renard is ridiculous.
